About the Author

Chicago native Terry Abrahamson had written two songs with Muddy Waters at the age of 22, and a third a few years later that won him a Grammy. In addition to photographing music legends such as the Rolling Stones, Freddie King, Taj Mahal, Howlin' Wolf and more, Terry has written music recorded by the late great Clarence Clemons, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, George Thorogood, the Chambers Brothers and John Lee Hooker. He is the only person in history to have written for Muddy Waters, Oprah Winfrey, Larry Flynt, Michael Jackson and the Boston Celtics. His produced stage plays include Hannukatz the Musical, Kama Sutra, The Brat Race, Doo Lister's Blues, How to Bust a Bully and the New Orleans Jazz Funeral of Stella Brooks. His work has been featured at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Smithsonian Institution, Chicago's Museum of African American History, Johnnie Cochran's funeral, before the United States Supreme Court, on CBS, HBO, NPR and SHOWTIME and at various film festivals. The presentation will be in the Lincoln Room at the Wauconda Area Library.
